A powerful critique of Seuss’ THE SLEEP BOOK

McKenna expressed her outrage that Seuss thoughtlessly left most of the creatures in the book without a “pillow and a blanket and a house” (in that order). Instead, the characters in the book improbably slept without any of those items. She went on to indicate her skepticism that the sleepwalkers depicted in the book could continue to sleep without a pillow and a blanket and a house, although she allowed that balancing giant lit candles on their heads was realistic.

Finally – a convincing deconstruction of Seuss’ failure to describe the world as we live in it.
