Endless Odyssey

The Icy Tundra of Rocky Mountain National Park

The first leg of the odyssey for a second year running was to Colorado to score AP World History essays. Before the grading, Jim and I went to Rocky Mountain National Park. Near the highest point on the road is the Tundra trail, at about 11,000 feet.

You might have noticed that the name of the trail includes the word “tundra” and that there is plenty of snow. That didn’t stop people from walking it with flip flops or with small children wearing only light windbreakers. It was like they had bussed people in from WalMart. No, really.
