Here’s Mark, enjoying the beach at Ocracoke, rated THE BEST BEACH IN AMERICA by the guy who rates beaches. Once a beach is rated #1, it is removed from consideration for all future lists. Since the ratings started back in 1991, almost every beach in Florida or Hawaii had been rated first. Which means that Ocracoke was basically competing against beaches in Jersey and Washington state. Woo hoo.
